Microsoft has announced that in the European Economic Area (EEA), it will continue to provide Extended Security Updates (ESU) for at least another year, until October 14, 2026.
This means that, for now, it will not be mandatory to use services such as OneDrive or Rewards to continue receiving additional updates for the operating system, allowing both businesses and individuals to adapt, upgrade, or replace their equipment within clearer and more flexible timeframes.
